Where is the Town Office located?
The Town of Clayton Office is located at 8358 County Road T in Larsen.
From the East: From State Road 76, go west on County Road II approximately 4 miles to County Road T. Take County Road T south to the office, which is located on the east side of County T next to the Fire Station. From the West: From State Road 45, go east on County Road II approximately 3 miles to County Road T. Take County Road T south to the office, which is located on the east side of County T next to the Fire Station.

Do I need to license my dog?
All dogs must be licensed at the age of six months. The license year runs from January 1st through December 31st. Licenses for the year are generally available by the third week in December. Any license not purchased by March 31st of any year will be charged a late fee of $10.00, per dog, unless it is a new dog. The registration fee is $5.00 for spayed/neutered dogs and $10.00 for non-spayed/non-neutered dogs. A rabies vaccination is required in order to register your dog. Do I need to license my cat?
Cat licenses are not required in the Town of Clayton.

Do you have park shelters for rent?
The Town of Clayton has one park shelter available for rent. Clayton Park is located on Larsen Road. Along with your reservation, you get the use of one baseball diamond, volleyball and net, horseshoes and kitchen facilities. Park rentals are taken on a first-come first-served basis beginning January 5th. If you would like to make a reservation, please contact the Town Office at 920-836-2007. No dogs are allowed in Clayton Park.

Where do I vote?
The Town polling place is located at 8348 County Road T, in Larsen. You must be registered in the Town of Clayton to vote in the Town of Clayton. Registration may be made at the Town Office prior to Election Day or at the polling location on Election Day. Please see the voting page for more information.

How can I get an absentee ballot?
In order to obtain an absentee ballot, you must be a registered voter in the Town of Clayton. A voter registration application is available on the voting page. You must fill out an application for an absentee ballot, which may also be obtained on the voting page,or you may simply send a letter requesting the ballot. You must state your street address and where you want the ballot mailed and the specific election you are requesting a ballot for. The requesting individual must sign the application/letter. If a husband and wife are requesting ballots, both must complete a separate request and each sign their own application/letter. If you come into the Town Office, your ballot can be completed that same day.

When are tax bills mailed?
Tax bills are mailed out in mid-December after Winnebago County has received taxing information from each jurisdiction. Winnebago County forwards the tax bills to the Town for distribution to property owners.

Where can I pay my taxes?
From the beginning of the tax season until January 31st, property taxes may be paid at the Town Office, 8358 County Road T, Larsen. You may also pay your taxes via mail by sending a check to the Town Office at P.O. Box 13, Larsen, WI 54947. If you would like a receipt, please send along a self-addressed stamped envelope.
Second installment payments of taxes are due by July 31st and are paid to the Winnebago County Treasurer in Oshkosh.

What day is refuse collected?
Refuse collection is Friday for all Town of Clayton residents. Refuse is collected every week. Refuse carts are to be out for pick-up by 6:00 a.m. on pick-up day. For weeks that include a holiday (M-F), refuse collection is one day later (Saturday).

What day are recyclable items collected?
Recycling collection is Friday for all Town of Clayton residents. Recycling is a single-stream collection system (all recyclables together - no separating - no ties or plastic bags allowed). How can I dispose of large appliances?
If you have major appliances or household furniture you need to take the items to the County Landfill, located in Oshkosh on County Road Y. You may contact them at 727-2884 for applicable fees.

Do you collect yard waste or Christmas trees?
No. The Town does have a yard waste site located at the corner of Hickory Avenue and County Road II for you to drop off your yard waste.
Items accepted: Yard waste only
The site is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 8:00 am. to 12:00 noon.
December 1st through March 31st, the site may be open by appointment only, during regular business hours. Contact the Town Office for an appointment at 836-3005 (Maintenance Department).

What do I need to do to get an operator's license?
You must complete an application for an operator's (bartender's) license, which is available on the license page, and bring it to the Town Office for processing. You will need to bring a copy of your responsible beverage course certificate (course must have been taken during the last two years) and your driver's license. The cost of an operator's license is $60.00. NOTE: The Clerk must witness you signing your application.

When are the Town Board, Plan Commission, and Green Space Committee Meetings held?
The Town Board of Supervisors, Plan Commission, and Green Space Committee meet in the Town Meeting Room located at 8358 County Road T in Larsen. Meeting dates are subject to change, please check the "official" posting locations at Clayton Elementary School, the corner of JJ and Breezewood, and the Town Office.
